The promise
What you type into a calculator or simulator stays on your device. Calculations run in your browser. Financial inputs, saved scenarios and full result text are not uploaded to our servers or analytics. Cloud scenario sync and new account sign-in are disabled. The limited RNOR verdict category described below is the analytics exception, not the underlying inputs or full result.
Tools can reuse your landing date, origin, trip log and checked RNOR details within this browser. Saved or manually chosen tool settings are preserved rather than silently replaced. Sample-household edits are temporary and kept separate from personal scenarios; clearing the sample or reloading restores your own inputs.
An input-bearing copied link uses only the part after #s=. Browsers do not send that fragment in HTTP requests, but anyone you give the link to can read its inputs. Copying those inputs requires a separate checkbox. Social and device-share buttons use the public tool URL and, for RNOR, an optional verdict category; they do not include your inputs.
What we measure
PostHog, when configured, receives page visits and allow-listed tool and action categories, such as opening a tool, showing a valid result, using a next step or toggling a checklist item. Only the RNOR calculator may include the verdict category NR, RNOR or ROR, and only the Wind-Down Planner may include its mode, planned or layoff. Amounts, ages, day counts, entered dates, email addresses, input text and full result text are excluded. Page URLs have their query and fragment removed, and referrers are reduced to their origin. Vercel Analytics receives page-view requests with sanitized page URLs; we do not send it custom calculator data.
PostHog uses memory-only identifiers without person profiles, autocapture or persistent analytics storage. Event delivery also needs a public project token, random event and temporary browser identifiers, and timing metadata. These are not your entered financial facts. Unused PostHog feature-flag and remote-extension requests are disabled. Google Analytics and Speed Insights are not loaded.
Session replay is disabled in this version. The source change disabling replay was made on ; that is not a verified production deployment date. We cannot verify the exact production recording period or that every historical recording was fully masked.
Embedded calculators allow only an embed_loaded event with the embedding page's hostname when available, plus the required delivery metadata above. No parent path, query or fragment is included; Vercel pageviews and calculator-action events are suppressed inside the frame. The embedding website has its own privacy practices.
Cookies and local storage
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. Local storage and IndexedDB keep your inputs, checked return details, checklist progress, scenarios and preferences in this browser. Clearing site data deletes those local records; export important scenarios first. If browser storage is unavailable, some tools can retain edits only until reload. The site needs an initial network load and is not guaranteed to work fully offline.
Hosting and historical records
Vercel hosts the site. It and configured analytics providers may process connection metadata such as IP addresses, browser request headers and request paths. Input fragments are excluded from HTTP requests. Old query-based links may already have reached hosting logs; replacing those links cannot erase historical requests. The compatibility reader expires on 10 December 2026.
Existing remote account records have not been erased by disabling sync. For access, export or deletion of a historical record, contact support. New financial data is not uploaded.
What we do not do
We do not sell data, display ads or use your inputs to train models. RebaseNest carries no paid placements or affiliate links at present.
