How RebaseNest checks its work

Scope

We publish calculators and guides for an NRI household deciding whether, when and how to return to India. Returnee decisions, not general regulatory news, are the focus. Some older adjacent articles remain available; a listing is not a claim that every article has been reverified.

Sources

Rules should be checked against primary text: the Income-tax Acts, the relevant Finance Act, FEMA, RBI Directions and FAQs, CBDT rules and circulars, treaties and official overseas tax guidance. A citation is not proof that the source resolves every edge case.

Calculators

Published reference cases run through the same functions as the tools. Their expected outputs are declared separately. A mismatch stops the build; it does not silently update the expectation. Passing tests demonstrate those cases, not professional review or a guarantee of legal or financial outcomes.

Articles and verification records

Drafting and implementation are AI-assisted. We do not claim that every article has passed two independent reviews, a qualified professional review or a completed human verification process. The publisher remains responsible for corrections.

A last-verified stamp requires a dated record and the sources actually checked. Publication and modification dates are separate. Older pages without that evidence are labelled as having no recorded verification; dates are not backfilled merely to make a page look current.

Re-verification

Relevant law changes are reasons to revisit a tool or article. Recorded verification older than 180 days fails the content check and must be reviewed before another build. This is a gate on recorded evidence, not a claim that the old corpus is already current or that reviews happen automatically.

The 2025 Income-tax Act governs tax years beginning on or after 1 April 2026. Earlier years use the 1961 Act. Verified mappings and unresolved finer clause labels are distinguished on the RNOR correctness page.

Corrections

Report a suspected error through the page feedback control or support@rebasenest.com. Include the page and the rule you question, not your account numbers or financial history. Delivery and resolution times are not guaranteed.

The changelog records material changes, their date and the affected page. We distinguish a new correction from a regression check for a fix that was already present.
